Side Mount Filter

Side Mount Filters are a type of pool filtration system where the multiport valve (used to control the flow of water through the filter) is located on the side of the filter tank rather than the top. These filters are commonly used in larger pools and commercial applications due to their efficient filtration and ease of maintenance. Multiport Valve Placement: The multiport valve is positioned on the side of the filter tank, which allows for easier access and operation compared to top-mount filters. Robust Build: Typically constructed from durable materials like fiberglass or reinforced plastic to withstand high pressure and outdoor conditions. Features : Sand Filters: Use a bed of specially graded sand as the filtering medium to trap particles and debris. Diatomaceous Earth (DE) Filters: Use DE powder to coat grids inside the filter, providing fine filtration by capturing very small particles. Cartridge Filters: Use replaceable cartridges made of pleated fabric to filter out contaminants and debris. Ease of Maintenance: The side-mounted valve makes it easier to perform maintenance tasks such as backwashing (in sand and DE filters), cleaning, or replacing the filter medium.
